"Pulau Galang-Indonesia" ex Vietnamese Refugee Camp 1976-1997

PULAU GALANG AFTER 20 YEAR



 Vietnam’s war in 1976-1980s caused more than million people left the country. In Indonesia, the  Galang island is one of near Batam island was  250,000 Vietnamese refugee sheltered under supervision of the United Nations High Commissioner of Refugees (UNHCR).  In 1995, the Vietnamese refugee sent back to their country. Many things that become memories on the Galang  island.
